Visitor Times

Weekday mornings and afternoons:  Play between 8am and 9am is limited to 2 ball play (except Wednesdays and Fridays for Prestwick Experience when fourball play is allowed).  No play before 10.15am on Thursdays. Fourball play is permitted at other times.

Weekends: Limited times are available on Sunday mornings and afternoons.

Handicap

Limits are 24 for men and 28 for ladies.

Dresscode

All visitors are expected to arrive in suitable golfing attire. We ask that all visitors using the Dining Room and Smoke Room (Members’ Bar) wear jacket, collar and tie (gentlemen) or a change from golfing attire (ladies). Golf shoes are not permitted in the Dining Room and Smoke Room (Members’ Bar) but soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes are permitted in the rest of the Clubhouse. Smart casual wear is acceptable in the Cardinal Bar and Lounge. Jeans, trainers, shorts (unless tailored) and round neck T-shirts are not acceptable on the course or in the Clubhouse.

Caddies & Equipment Hire

Caddies

£65 plus gratuity. We strongly recommend that each group takes at least one caddie.

In order to maintain the highest possible level of service to our visitors, only caddies who are trained and authorised by Prestwick Golf Club are permitted to caddie for payment at the Club. All caddie bookings should be made through Prestwick Golf Club at least one week in advance to guarantee a caddie is available.

We are aware of some organisations not associated with or endorsed by Prestwick Golf Club offering caddie services to visiting golfers. We have no control over the standard of caddies they offer and accordingly, they will not be allowed to caddie at the Club.

Trolleys

Pull trolleys are available for hire from the Pro Shop at a cost of £10. There are also a number of electric trolleys for hire at a cost of £25.

Carts

The terrain of the course does not lend itself easily to large electric carts. There are two double seat electric carts available for hire from the Pro Shop for visitors with a medical condition at a cost of £30. For health and safety reasons, visitors taking the cart are required to take a caddie to drive them round the course – cost as above. Golfers requiring a cart must produce a medical certificate.

Hire clubs

Right handed and Left handed sets of TaylorMade clubs are available for hire at a cost of £60 per set (including 3 premium TaylorMade balls) from the Professionals Shop.

Catering

Catering Summer

Full lunch is available in the Dining Room on Wednesdays and Fridays between 12.30 and 2.30pm (booking in advance is required). Smart dress equivalent Jacket collar and tie. A snack lunch is available in the Cardinal Room from Sunday to Friday between 9.30am and 5.00pm. Golf attire may be worn in the Cardinal Room. The cost of lunch is not included in the Green Fee (other than for the Prestwick Experience).

Catering Winter

The Dining Room is closed and the Cardinal Room is open on Tuesday to Friday and Sunday between 10.00am and 2.30pm. The cost of lunch is not included in the Green Fee. There are no bar or catering facilities available on Mondays during the winter months.

Accommodation

17 Links Rd, Prestwick

Prestwick Golf Club recently acquired this property which was previously known as the Golf View Hotel. We shall be operating this as a Dormie House for visiting golfers to the Club.
