David Bennett
David has been associated with the Club since 1968 when his father was appointed Steward and his mother cook. He has been interested in food and cooking ever since he was encouraged to help his mother in the kitchen. On leaving school David trained as a chef and when his mother sadly passed away he assumed the role of Head Chef in 1982. When his father subsequently retired David also became Club Steward.
David enjoys experimenting and improving the Prestwick cuisine. He particularly enjoys offering the seafood, shellfish and spicy dishes that have become the hallmark of his cuisine today. David manages a team of 6 in the kitchen – each with individual culinary skills to complement those of David.
